On 1 April 2016, the National Minimum Wage will increase to reflect the National Living Wage.

The minimum wages from 1 April 2016 will be:

  • age 25+ = £7.20 per hour
  • 21 – 25 = £6.70 per hour
  • 18 – 21 = £5.30 per hour
  • less than 18 = £3.87 per hour
  • apprentices = £3.30 per hour

For those aged 25 and above, this represents an increase of 50 pence per hour.
